Once the hangout begins, everyone will introduce each other and then take turns asking the provided questions in order to keep the discussion on topic. Just like we did when we met up in restaurants, we have a few groups of 5-6 people each. Feel free to bring something for you to eat and drink if you like. As always, these hangouts provide the opportunity for a thoughtful, respectful and engaging discussion in a safe space where disrespectful behaviour is not tolerated. In the case of rain, this hangout will be online (via Zoom) using breakout rooms, followed by a combined discussion as we've done in the past.

Hey gang, it looks like the weather is going to hold up for this hangout at Trout Lake. In addition to the people who have signed up on Buddytree, there have been about 20 people who have signed up on Meetup as well: https://www.meetup.com/meaningfuldiscussions-vancouver/events/288100961/ (I've asked each of these people to sign up on Buddytree as well, since we're in the process of moving our events from Meetup to Buddytree) Is everyone okay with proceeding as an in-person hangout considering the weather forecast?

Sounds great Lily, I look forward to meeting him! :) Hey gang, please remember to arrive ON TIME (or even a bit early) since I'll be dividing up everyone into small groups of 5 or 6 people at 5pm, with the discussion questions printed out and ready to go. If you arrive late, we'll have to reshuffle the people which will disrupt the flow of the discussions. After 90 minutes, we'll have a mix and mingle.
