The plan would be to get a few music lovers together to attend the Aretha: A Tribute show with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on the 29th of April. (EDIT: Time and date have always been correct above but I listed it as the 28th instead of the 29th in the description. This edit fixes my error.) The VSO website for the show is here: https://www.vancouversymphony.ca/event/aretha-a-tribute/ I'm planning this way ahead to permit time to confirm attendance and collect funds so that I may purchase a group of tickets. Estimated ticket cost will not be more than $80 per seat, which is the current actual cost of lower balcony seating. Payment will need to be made to me by INTERAC transfer by April 1st to reserve a seat with the group. (I'll be purchasing the group tickets on April 2nd.) If you decide to join us after that point, I'll post the seat locations once acquired to make it easier for you to sit near the group if you so desire. Coffee before or after the show is a possibility as well, based on group consensus. Look forward to seeing you there!

Group discounts don't take effect until you want to buy at least 10 tickets. "Estimated ticket cost will not be more than $80 per seat, which is the current actual cost of lower balcony seating." If I can swing a discount for that section, I will. I'll make sure that I purchase at the senior rate for you, whatever that is, and refund you the balance. :)

My go-to pre-symphony dinner restaurant choice is Chambar on Beatty St, but I recognize that this choice might not fit everyone's budget or style. A good choice in a lower price range might be Peaceful Restaurant at 602 Seymour St. If we just wanted a pub vibe, there are a handful of good Irish pubs all along Granville St, many of whom have a full restaurant menu. It really does depend on how the group is feeling. Those are my "low-hanging-fruit" suggestions though. :)

For ease of reference: Chambar: https://www.chambar.com/menus/dinner/ Peaceful: https://www.peacefulrestaurant.com/shop/Seymour/5 The other Pub options that I recommend are: Donnellan's, The Ox, and The Morrissey. They're all within walking distance and all roughly the same pub experience. Open to other suggestions as well!

I can also be there for dinner. Chamber looks tasty. 😋
